The Witches are Coming to Bucksport
The Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Witch Hunt will commence on October 8th. Every year Bucksport area businesses purchase witches from the chamber to "hide" in their stores. Each witch has a unique name connecting them to a certain business. Those interested in the witch hunt can find the entry blank, containing the witch’s names in the Bucksport Enterprise along with a list of the participating businesses.

Anyone from any town can join in the fun.

Pumpkin Trebuchet you say? Pumpkin Catapult?
We've got permission to launch pumpkins into the Penobscot River and we are taking full advantage at Ghostport 2009. This mechanism is going to be huge and built by hand by one of our dedicated volunteers (Thanks Bill). To get an idea please take a peak at this video We can't wait!

Have you ever been to Fort Knox's Fright at the Fort? If not you need to give it a try this year. The Fort is joining forces with Bucksport's Ghostport to guarantee you double the scare potential of your visit.
Fright at the Fort site.
This is what we're talking about. Our local ghosthunter who likes to be known only by his website: Maine Supernatural caught this footage at Fort Knox, over the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, during the full moon. Watch here.

Shuttle buses will be available during the fall festival between our waterfront and the Fort for their spectacular opening weekend of Fright at the Fort. Be prepared to be scared...
